Colorizing a png of a brush in ACDSee Photo Editor
Many have been asking how to use brushes in ACDSee Photo Editor. Adobe Photoshop Elements & Paint Shop Pro each have their own types of brushes & they don't work in other software. I realized this when I was scrapping in software that wasn't from Adobe & used the png's to achieve the same effect. I suggest that people tag the png's to organize them.
See all of my categories for brushes? Actually, brushes are my favorite element to buy!
Drag the png of the brush into ACDSee Photo Editor (or your digiscrapping software) or select the thumbnail of the brush & use Ctrl-E if you have set up your default editor.
Next I want to change the color of the png/brush. Select the image & under Adjustments | Color | Colorize
Then to change the color you can choose from the options in the top right by clicking on them (& keep clicking on them to get more new images). The other way is to click in the bottom right & follow the instructions in the screenshot. I save my orange because I needed it to match.
Once you've chosen your color, you're ready to adjust the size of your png. Unclick Scale Proportional so that you can resize in either direction.
- Then you can add additional layers, like text.
