Colorizing a png of a brush in ACDSee Photo Editor

Many have been asking how to use brushes in ACDSee Photo Editor. Adobe Photoshop Elements & Paint Shop Pro each have their own types of brushes & they don't work in other software. I realized this when I was scrapping in software that wasn't from Adobe & used the png's to achieve the same effect. I suggest that people tag the png's to organize them.

See all of my categories for brushes? Actually, brushes are my favorite element to buy!

  • Drag the png of the brush into ACDSee Photo Editor (or your digiscrapping software) or select the thumbnail of the brush & use Ctrl-E if you have set up your default editor.

  • Next I want to change the color of the png/brush. Select the image & under Adjustments | Color | Colorize

  • Then to change the color you can choose from the options in the top right by clicking on them (& keep clicking on them to get more new images). The other way is to click in the bottom right & follow the instructions in the screenshot. I save my orange because I needed it to match.

  • Once you've chosen your color, you're ready to adjust the size of your png. Unclick Scale Proportional so that you can resize in either direction.

  • Then you can add additional layers, like text.
