the In's and Out's of ACDSee Photo Editor Challenge 1

Welcome everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by! I am Liz, one of the newest members of the ACDSee team, and I will be hosting the In's and Out's of ACDSee Photo Editor Challenges. This series will get you acquainted with ACDSee Photo Editor. If you already own it, but would like to learn more about it, please participate in these challenges. If you don't own it, but would like to try it out, please download a 30 day free trial here, as you will need this software to complete these challenges:

Want a trial version of ACDSee Photo Editor? Click to take you ACDSee's website for the trial or option to buy Photo Editor.

ACDSee Photo Editor to $49.99 and if you already own ACDSee PhotoManager the price is $34.99.

Our first challenge will be using 3 different tutorials, which are linked below. Please read through them carefully, and if you ever have any questions, please send me a PM.

PM me on Forums and my username is Lizzyworks.

I have also included one more tutorial at the bottom just for your reference, but we will not be using that for the challenge.

Challenge Details:

  • Create a page in whatever size you normally scrapbook in and apply 1, 2, or all 3 of these tutorials in the layout.
  • You do not have to use them all. But you do have to use at least one.
  • This is a lot to go through at first, so I will let you pick whatever theme you would like for your first page.
  • The next three challenges I will pick a theme in addition to your tutorials.

Here is what we will be using for this challenge:

Tips

If you are already using ACDSee Photo Manager 9 or 10 to organize your scrap stuff, it will work beautifully with ACDSee Photo Editor. Go into Photo Manager, select "View, Image Basket" and drag and drop the elements, papers, and pictures that you want to use into the image basket. You will need to configure Photo Manager to open your images in your photo editor, in this case, ACDSee Photo Editor. To do that, follow these directions:

Once you have done that, go back down to the image basket in Photo Manager, click anywhere, hit CTRL-A, then go to "Tools, Open in Editor', then select "ACDSee Photo Editor", and voila! Everything you need to create your page is already in the image basket in Photo Editor!

Again, if you have any questions, send me a PM- my username is Lizzyworks. I will check them periodically and respond as soon as I get them. Have fun! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Prize

The winner of this challenge will receive the following prizes:

  • $6 gift certificate to Jill D-Zine's store
  • $10 gift certificate to Tangie Baxter's store
  • $10 gift certificate to Viovio
