How to join our Video Webinars
The webinars are using a tool where you will be available to see what we are doing live on our desktop and hear us.
To Hear Us
- This tool requires you to call a toll number that we will provide.
- This WILL be a LONG DISTANCE call for you. If you have a phone plan with unlimited long distance on weekends you will be fine. If you do not have that we would recommend, a calling card where you get cheap long distance, such as Costco's or Sam's Club calling cards.
- Since this is planned for an hour, you will be on the phone for an hour so plan accordingly. A speaker or handset makes it easier so that your hand or shoulder don't get tired.
Join Us Early
- We recommend coming early.
- We are going to setup the Webinar and start 30 minutes early.
- Opening the webinar 30 minutes early is to help people get in and we hope by the scheduled time that everyone has made it into the webinar and can see and hear us.
- During this time, we will be saying hello to people as they join and working with people that are trying to figure it out.
- We will not be showing/talking about anything until the scheduled time but when the scheduled time arrives, we will start on time and we will have limited help getting people in if they have problems.
- You can join us to make sure it works and leave yourself connected and do other things until the scheduled start time. (If you are paying long distance, then call back in at scheduled time.)
What to expect during the webinar
- The tool we are using makes it difficult to see other people attending.
- If you ask questions, we will have a few people (that aren't speaking or demoing) answering your questions.
- If they do it correctly, you should see their responses very near to where you typed a question.
- If your question is answered, we will get a list of questions after the webinar and will respond in email to you.
Questions that pertain to an error or some other particular problem you may be experiencing are better left to our forum.
- This is live and things don't always go as planned. Connie and Heidi have only done 1 other webinar like this and it was a learning experience. And we honestly expect this to be too! So bear with us if we have technical difficulties and remember we are trying our best. All this technology is great but sometimes making it all work together is a challenge.
