How to get your images to your editor?

I want Photo Manager to open my images in my editor (Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, etc.)

How do I do this?

You need to configure the default photo editor, to do this:

  1. Go under Tools | Open in Editor | Configure Editors

  2. Click on Add
  3. You now need to browse to your software editor application file.
    1. If you are using Adobe products, look in the Adobe folder listed for an exe. (i.e. Program Files > Adobe > Photoshop Elements 4.0 > PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe)
    2. If you are using Corel products, look in the Corel folder and select the exe file.
  4. Rename if wish in the Name box.
  5. Click OK
  6. Select the Supports Multiple Images box for the editor you just added.
  7. Select the editor and click Set as Default

Once set up, you can get the images to your editor in 4 ways:

  • Select an item or items & press Ctrl-E (keyboard shortcut)
  • Right click on image, select Edit
  • Select one or more thumbnails and go to Tools | Open In Editor and choose your editor.
  • You can always click & drag your items from Photo Manager over to your photo editing program too
